Every once in a while over here at quiteenjoy, we get a little excited about something. It could be a live bee in a bag of salad (less than positive excitement), a picture of a duck wearing a bowler hat (more overwhelmingly joyous than you could possibly imagine), perhaps even a five pence piece on the floor outside the office (invariably glued down so that we can’t retrieve it).
However, all of these things can be surpassed in an instant when something of genuine, raw, outstanding beauty is dropped in our laps…
…and today, that happened. Clicky Clicky, already.
I invite you to view this truly spectacular and heart-wrenchingly emotive video piece by a man I so desperately wish actually was related to me… but sadly, isn’t. Tom Jenkins who is the (deep breath) Producer, Animator, Cameraman, Lighting Operator, Editor and Grader (phew) of this wonderful stop-motion animation, is also co-founder and creative director of The Theory. These guys have an impressive body of work on display where commercial and corporate ventures are concerened, but if this film is anything to go by; they have a deservedly bright future ahead of them. It may very well turn out to be my favourite short film of the year… and, yes, that includes ours.
Bugger.
Having done the rounds of geek-empowering underground club music with 8-Bit & Chiptune parties popping up all around the world, it appears now that the flip has been switched and that some bright spark called ‘Virt’ has managed to catalogue a whole range of old-skool games from way back when and replace all the midi-orchestrated sounds and replace them with their lifelike equivilants for your viewing/listening pleasure…

We’ve all at one time or another, on our trips over the vast dessert which is the internet, arrived at a 404 page. They are the pages that give you a “cannot be found” error. We have one here at quiteenjoy- its an image of obiwan. so if you try and visit a page that dosnt exist on quiteenjoy you get the delightful face of Alec Guinnes to put you back on track. Our own efforts are humbled though by this russian site which probably have the best 404 page in the world (thats right, better than you Carling).
Make sure you all sing along now:

Don’t you wish that all movie posters had a bit more Star Wars in them? I do. Luckily someone seems to share my passion. Thanks to a post from Cyriaque Lamar we can now live in a world where the Movie “Empire of the sun” is depicted with a massive Death star and a tie fighter on fire. God bless us all.
Head here and have a look!
